The Unionville Community Fair Princess Contest is a great way for our younger community members to be involved with the Fair and to give them an idea of what being Fair royalty really means. As with the Fair Queen Contest, the Fair Princess will have a chance to gain experience representing the community, build additional leadership skills, and make new friends. Along with the title, the Princess and her Alternate will both receive scholarships.
Have her parent’s or guardian’s consent
Be a female who is a US Citizen and a resident of Pennsylvania
Each contestant must be female and at least 12, but not more than, 16 years of age by June 1, 2019. She must reside within the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District. Every contestant must be enrolled as a full-time student at Unionville High School or Charles F. Patton Middle School or an accredited High School or Middle School program within the UCFSD or by approval or invitation by the fair board.
Have not been a former Unionville Community Fair Princess winner
Be able to meet all time commitments, Princess obligations, and Dress Code.
In Addition, Each Contestant Will:
Submit a 300-word essay entitled, “The Best Part of the Unionville Community Fair and Why it is so Special to Me.
Each contestant will be interviewed and asked questions regarding the Fair.
Each contestant will compose and deliver a personal statement that is no more than 30 seconds.
Agree to volunteer at least 3-hours during 2019 Unionville Community Fair, October 4-6.
Contestants will be judged on Poise, Appearance (must be attired in a dress), Neatness, and ability to Communicate (in written essay, 30 second personal statement during the contest and private interview with the judges).
